McCulloch 2-stroke chainsaw won't start? - part mcculloch 219848-01
This saw has been running for at least 10 years. Carbohydrates has been cleaned and everything, but not started. I have not tried for months, but I get no spark at all. Maybe the thing or magneto? The part of the engine is not my specialty, but I was told to grinding my points? I think I should really steering me if I'm wrong. And could do with the gap between the flywheel and the magneto if that is what his name too?

Are you sure that you have the points? Not for a year. If you are using cable, which can have points from the steering wheel. You can check the spark plug, the removal plug the cable and connector body for metal. Pull the string and watch the sparks. The gap between the wheel and the ignition module is not so important if there is a gap.
The carburetor is the probable cause of the problem. It must be removed, dismantled and in a good carb cleaner soaked. You need to brand and model numbers from the carb for the appointment of a rebuild kit. Nothing less than the remake is a waste of time. Membranes after 10 years no longer works. The soil is the fuel pump diaphragm. So, if you do not want to become old and cracked fuel. There is also a fuel filter in one of the two lines of fuel in the tank. Replaced with a piece of wire hooks, fish.
Even if the ignition module still needs to build up again to replace the carburetor. Although you have to control the saw apart and replace the fuel lines of aND BAR pipelines.
My McCulloch MC lasted about 10 years. The coil has finally left. I decided it gave me good service. I have it on a scrap yard in peace and bought a Stihl. I love it.
You can find a spark test line.
Yes, take off the wheel. See Thats where the magnets in the sand. They should be a kind of spark.
If you do not run in 10 years, probably the diaphragm in the carburetor is shot. Rebuild kit is cheap. Good luck with that.
Remember, gas + spark = fire.
